Using Financial Aid in the Bookstore

- You MUST HAVE an ICC Student ID card to use your account in the Bookstore.
- You have to SET UP a Bookstore Financial Aid ACCOUNT EVERY SEMESTER.
- Financial Aid CAN be used for ONLINE ordering.

Yes. Financial Aid may be used for online orders. Please make sure the
appropriate type of payment is chosen when ordering.
Unfortunately, if you do not have sufficient funds in your Bookstore account your online order will be cancelled. You will be notified of the cancellation,
and you can check the status of your order by clicking on the Order History link of your Bookstore online account.
If your payment method is Financial Aid and you are purchasing a rental textbook, you will be required to enter a valid credit card number to satisfy the payment requirements of a rental book that is not returned on time.

Financial Aid is money from federal, state, and
private sources that is used to pay for college costs. This includes grants, scholarships, loans, and any other type of financial help you receive to pay
for college.
Financial Aid accounts are set up through the Financial Assistance department each semester. You can reach the Financial Assistance

You will need to notify the Financial Assistance department to obtain approval to
open your account.
Textbooks, supplies,
reference material, book bags, and clothing.
Financial Aid accounts start two weeks before classes and end approximately 2
weeks after classes begin. The remaining balance of some types of financial
aid, such as Pell Grants, are sent to the recipient in the form of a check
or e-refund.
In order to finalize a remaining balance, the accounts must be
closed to ensure that the balance does not change.

After the Financial Aid accounts are closed, approximately 2 weeks after classes
start, the Financial Assistance department begins sending out refund checks
or e-refunds to all students with a credit balance on their account.
You
will need to check with the Financial Assistance department to see if they
will set up an account for you based on the paperwork you have filled out to
this point.

Tuition and fees will be deducted from
your account and the remaining balance up to $800.00 will be set up for use in the
bookstore. If you have no balance left after tuition has been deducted, you
will not be able to set up an account in the bookstore.
Your Bookstore
Financial Aid account is linked to your ICC student ID. Once your ICC
student ID card is scanned at the register, your account opens up for the
transaction. The ICC student ID card is also required to check proper
identification.
If you do not have an ICC student ID card, you can get one at the East Peoria Campus library or bookstore, or at the ICC Peoria Campus at Student Services in Arbor Hall.

Yes, as long as you have the
receipt for the item you are returning, proper identification, and the
return is within the return dates. The return policy can be found on the
back of your receipt or online at the
Return Guidelines page.
If you have an unpaid balance on your account, it is to be paid at the Student Services Office.
