ICC student email change

ICC Bookstore accounts that were set up with email ending in @lab.icc.edu, please update your account to reflect new ICC email format of @icc.edu Updating will allow students to receive order confirmation(s) and digital eText redemption information. This will also keep order history and current password for the account.

  • Log into account using current email and password
  • Under My Account: Account Info section, Select edit next to email address
  • Enter new email address (format changing from @lab.icc.edu to @icc.edu) Example: aa000a@lab.icc.edu will change to aa000a@icc.edu 
  • Confirm new email address
  • Confirm current password
  • Select Save Changes

The Bookstore will not be able to assist with order confirmation(s) & digital eText information if account is not updated.

 

 

Using Financial Aid in the Bookstore

Please refer to the Bookstore's Homepage for dates to use financial aid.

FACTS:

  • You MUST HAVE an ICC Student ID card to use your account in the Bookstore.
  • You have to SET UP a Bookstore Financial Aid ACCOUNT EVERY SEMESTER.
  • Financial Aid CAN be used for ONLINE ordering.

Can Financial Aid be used for online orders?
Yes. Financial Aid may be used for online orders. Please make sure the appropriate type of payment is chosen when ordering. Unfortunately, if you do not have sufficient funds in your Bookstore account your online order will be cancelled. You will be notified of the cancellation, and you can check the status of your order by clicking on the Order History link of your Bookstore online account.

If your payment method is Financial Aid and you are purchasing a rental textbook, you will be required to enter a valid credit card number to satisfy the payment requirements of a rental book that is not returned on time.
What is Financial Aid?
Financial Aid is money from federal, state, and private sources that is used to pay for college costs. This includes grants, scholarships, loans, and any other type of financial help you receive to pay for college.
How do I set up a Financial Aid account to use in the Bookstore?
Financial Aid accounts are set up through the Financial Assistance department each semester. You can reach the Financial Assistance department at (309) 694-5311 or you can visit the Financial Aid webpage for more information.

Other third party agency accounts are set up through Student Accounting. You can reach the Student Accounting department at (309) 694-5468.
What if my account doesn't work? (There is an error at the register "Account Not Found.")
This error message means that your account has not been set up yet. Please contact the Financial Assistance department for more information (309) 694-5311.
What do I do if my account is expired and I still need to buy supplies/books?
You will need to notify the Financial Assistance department to obtain approval to open your account.
What can I buy with my Bookstore Financial Aid account? (Pell Grants & Student Loans)
Textbooks, supplies, reference material, book bags, and clothing.
Why is my account expired?
Financial Aid accounts start two weeks before classes and end approximately 2 weeks after classes begin. The remaining balance of some types of financial aid, such as Pell Grants, are sent to the recipient in the form of a check or e-refund. In order to finalize a remaining balance, the accounts must be closed to ensure that the balance does not change.
When do the Bookstore Financial Aid accounts expire?
Approximately 2 weeks after classes start. For exact dates, please refer to the Bookstore's Important Dates at the top of the Bookstore's homepage.
What happens to the money in my Financial Aid account if I do not spend it all?
After the Financial Aid accounts are closed, approximately 2 weeks after classes start, the Financial Assistance department begins sending out refund checks or e-refunds to all students with a credit balance on their account.
Can I still get my books/supplies if my Financial Aid money has not come in yet?
You will need to check with the Financial Assistance department to see if they will set up an account for you based on the paperwork you have filled out to this point.
How do I contact the ICC Financial Aid department?
You can call the Financial Assistance department at (309) 694-5311.
Does my tuition come out of my Financial Aid account?
Tuition and fees will be deducted from your account and the remaining balance up to $800.00 will be set up for use in the bookstore. If you have no balance left after tuition has been deducted, you will not be able to set up an account in the bookstore.
Why do I have to use an ICC Student ID card? How do I get one?
Your Bookstore Financial Aid account is linked to your ICC student ID. Once your ICC student ID card is scanned at the register, your account opens up for the transaction. The ICC student ID card is also required to check proper identification.

If you do not have an ICC student ID card, you can get one at the East Peoria Campus library or bookstore, or at the ICC Peoria Campus at Student Services in Arbor Hall.
Can I return books if I bought them with my Bookstore Financial Aid account?
Yes, as long as you have the receipt for the item you are returning, proper identification, and the return is within the return dates. The return policy can be found on the back of your receipt or online at the Return Guidelines page.
Where do I pay the balance on my Financial Aid account?
If you have an unpaid balance on your account, it is to be paid at the Student Services Office.
