Rental F.A.Q.
You must be an ICC student to rent!
A rental textbook is a textbook option that allows you to save money by:
paying a lower price upfront for the textbook, using the textbook for the semester, and returning it to the bookstore in
resalable condition by the rental return deadline. If a textbook is not returned by the rental return deadline or is returned
in damaged condition, you will be responsible for paying the full retail price of a new textbook.
Please visit the Rental Returns/Penalties page for more information.
Renting In-Store:
To rent a textbook in store, bring an updated copy of your class schedule or bring your ICC student ID to print your class schedule on one of the schedule kiosks located around campus. Get in the textbook line and hand your class schedule to the bookstore employee at the counter. Counter staff will ask you a series of questions about the types of books that you prefer, at which point; you will let the counter staff know that you are interested in renting. Bookstore staff will then pull the textbooks based on your preference and will give you directions on how to proceed and will help answer any questions you may have. Once you receive your textbooks and finish shopping for any other items you may need, you will head to the checkout. During the checkout process, you will be required to show the cashier your ICC student ID and will be required to sign a textbook rental agreement. To view a copy of this agreement, please visit the Rental Agreement page.
