I don't know which laptop to rent. Are there specific computer requirements for my classes?

 Standard Computer Requirement     

All online learning students are required to have the proper technology that meet or exceed the below requirements. Additional hardware and software may be required for the chosen program and/or course. Please see your specific program and courses to verify minimum requirements.

How Do I Rent A Laptop?
  • In-Store East Peoria campus ONLY:
      o Bring ICC student ID
      o Grab laptop card for desired laptop (can be found on back side of middle circle desk in bookstore)
      o Take laptop card to customer service to check out
      o Customer service staff will go over information and have you sign rental agreement

  • Laptops are not available to rent online
    •
    Do You Offer A Rent To Own Program For Rental Laptops?
  • Yes, terms of rent to own program:
      o Must rent the same exact laptop and pay rental fee for 5 consecutive semesters before you own the laptop
      o Must renew your laptop prior to the rental return deadline of the current semester
    • Failure to renew your laptop rental for the next semester by the current semester rental return deadline will result in termination from the rent to own program
      o If you choose not to renew your laptop for the next semester and do not return your laptop by the rental return deadline, you will be responsible for the full replacement fee of the laptop

    How Do I Renew My Rental Laptop For The Next Semester?
  • You will receive an email with a link to renew your rental laptop a week prior to the return deadline
      o You must click on the link and fill out the online form prior to the return deadline in order to renew your rental laptop
    •
    I Am Done With My Rental Laptop. Where Do I Return It?
  • Must be returned IN PERSON at East Peoria Campus- Customer Service Desk by rental return deadline
    • I Am Having Technical Issues With My Rental Laptop, What Do I Do?
  • Contact ICC Help Desk at icchelpdesk@icc.edu for technical support
      o If needed, contact ICC Bookstore to schedule a time to come in to have laptop looked at by ICC Technology Services Department
